We honor God when we love and serve others. We bring glory to His name when we reach out to those who are less fortunate. When you are a Christian, service is not an option!
We are a mission oriented church, whether it be locally or beyond, and Douglas Community United Methodist Church continues to be a hub of community activity!
The church also provides space for the Douglas Senior Center allowing Southeast Senior Services to serve lunch for citizens age 60 and over each Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 pm. Phone 364-3161 during these hours of operation for more information.
Relief efforts in the United States are ongoing and are funded by the United Methodist Committee on Relief’s US Disaster Response Advance #901670. 100% of your gift designated for this Advance will go directly for the purpose of Disaster Relief, where needed, when needed.
Make your checks payable to Douglas Community UMC and note the Advance # on the memo line. If you wish to donate cash, place your donation in one of the envelopes in the pews and include your name, and the Advance #, as well. Place donations in the offering plate. The Church Bookkeeper, Linda Hamilton, will then forward the donations to the Conference Treasurer for disbursement to the United Methodist Committee on Relief: UMCOR. Thank you for your generosity!
